Halloween

So we had a great Halloween this year. It felt like a four day holiday. We had a jam packed weekend full of all the halloween festivities we could cram in. On Friday we went to Boo at the Zoo with my cousin Jessica and her family, and my brother Jared and his family. We had dinner first and then set off to the Zoo. The kids LOVED it! Jaden was unsure about the creepy masks and would'nt go anywhere near them. But by the end of the weekend he would tell me, " Me no scared!"

On Saturday night we went to our ward Carnival. We had a chili cook off, a fishing pond, cake walk, and minute to win it games. Hailey won at the cake walk, which she was so tickled about all weekend. Jaden, our little lefty, scored on his first shot at the bing bag toss. Trey just loved to be along for the ride ;)

Trey is a turtle, Hailey the Ladybug, and Jaden our little monkey.

We have a tradition in our house, after going Trick or Treating, we take the kids out to dinner in their costumes. We took them to IHOP the last two years, and let the kids decorate their scary face pancakes. They love to stay in their costumes as long as possible! The kids were so sad to have Halloween come and go, but when I told them Christmas was coming soon, they perked right up. The kids hit the jackpot this year! Here they are reaping the benefits of all their hard work.
