The Happiest Place On Earth!

My parents took us to Disneyland the first week in October. The entire family was able to go. We had matching shirts numbered 1 to 23. We had so much fun!! It was so fun to be able to see the magic through the kids eyes. They were just in awe the whole time. Hailey loved all of the princesses, and Jaden loved the Buzz Lightyear ride. He said he liked to, "shoot the bad guys." It wasn't too busy this time of year so it was nice to be able to go on the rides that we wanted to. This post is totally overloaded with pictures, but I guess it makes up for the lack of posts this last year ;)
The kids on the Merry Go Round. Trey and I skipped out on this one because Trey fell asleep in the Stroller (pictured below). It was cute everytime they would go around they would frantically wave at me and yell, "HI MOM!"

We all enjoyed the Ferris wheel. We were surprised by how many rides we could take the whole family on. We stood in this line for about half an hour before we got to the front. When we did Jaden told us the dreaded words, "I have to go potty!" Daddy was able to get him to hold it and we went on the ride anyway. We were so impressed with him. He has been potty trained for about 5 months now and we had NO accidents on our trip. He made it the 14 hr drive too. One time we were standing in line for the dumbo ride and he tells me he has to go potty. I asked him if he could hold it. He points down to the ground and tells me, "I can pee there." he wanted to just drop his pants and pee in line.

Jaden loved to see all the characters...but from a distance. Chip and Dale came walking past us and Jaden would wave and say Hi. Dale came right up to him and touched his shoulder. Jaden FREAKED OUT!! He literally shook and tried to climb up me screaming at the top of his lungs. This is bad, but it was hysterical! He later told everyone, "Dale touched me, I cried." Too cute!

Enjoying the train ride. Jaden has gotten into the habit of pulling faces everyti,e I got the camera out.

Haileys favorite of the trip was her Disney Princess Makeover. We borrowed some dress from a friend and Hailey chose which one she wanted. Early on Wednesday morning she came into our room and asked if it was time for her makeover. She was so excited to wear makeup, glitter, and a crown. It was so cute, everytime we would go up or down stairs she would let go of my hand and delicatly hold up her skirt with her fingers and gracefully walk down he stairs. She totally went into character once that dress was on. Hailey and I had our own little girls day at Disneyland that day. Brandon and Jaden went to save the world from alien invasion on the Buzz Lightyear ride, while Hailey, Trey and I went to go see the princesses. She was so excited!! She loved their dresses and being able to talk to them. She didnt recognize Mulan, but it didnt matter to her she was a princess and that was enough for her. We watched the parade that day and Hailey would wave at all the characters. What made her life even more complete was when Minnie Mouse went by on her float she looked at Hailey and curtsied to her. Hailey turned to me yelled, " Did you see that?!" She was the perfect age for all of this. It was so magical for her and she loves looking at pictures, and talking to anyone who will listen.

We shared a Condo with my Brother Jared and his family. Trey and Jaden are about 10 weeks apart and they have become the best of friends. At one time Trey was sucking on Behrens fingers, while Behren was sucking on Treys head. They would get so excited everytime they would see eachother. They would smile and kick. I think they are going to grow up to be best buddies.

July 4th weekend...late I know :)

This summer has been full of fun! I can not believe it is here already. We had such a great fourth of July weekend. We started the weekend off with my birthday on the 2nd. My parents took the kids for the night and Brandon took me out on the town. He took me to dinner and then we went shopping! I bought some clothes and some accessories for the home, (He knows what I like). Saturday we woke up early and Brandon and I went and ran our very first 5K!! It was soo fun. We have been preparing for this for a couple months and wanted to beat our best times. We have had a lot of fun having something we can do together. He finished before me, and instead of resting, he came back and ran the last bit with me. It meant so much to me to have him pushing me that last bit. He has been a great supporter and I love him so much for that. To rewind a little bit, 5 years ago I had corrective surgey on both my feet. I couldn't put any weight on my feet, so I spent 3 weeks in a wheelchair. Since my surgery I haven't been able to feel completly secure on my feet. I have 10 pins and screws in both feet so I dont have the full flexibility I did before. To run in a 5K was such a personal accomplishment. It gave me such an adrenaline rush. I beat my time and came in at just over 36 minutes. Later that night we had Brandons cousin Chris and his wife Hydee, and their three kids over for a barbeque and some fireworks. We are thrilled because in September their family will be moving ino our subdivision. We are looking forward to many more nights like this.
Hailey loved writing her name in the sky with her Sparkler.
Hailey and Jaden with their friends. (Natalie, Hadley, and Oakley)

Hailey and her POPS, she loved them!!

Happy Birthday Jaden!!

Jaden is 1 year old!! So it is picture time. We had a friend take these, and she did an AMAZING job. We were so excited to get them back and see 87 photos to choose from, we loved them all!! Jaden wasn't very smiley that day, so he would give us these serious faces. They turned out to be adorable.

Hailey loved getting her picture taken. She was all over the place striking a pose. For this shot of the two of them, we had to teach Hailey how to sit in a skirt without her panties showing (it was pretty funny).
I am so proud to be Jadens "Mamma". He melts my heart! He is such a boy and loves to get into everything. He loves playing with his sister. Even though he is smaller, for now, he loves keeping up with Hailey and tries to be a big kid. One little personality trait Jaden has is, you cant get him to do anything unless he thinks it is his idea. He has been this way since he learned to hold a bottle. I would try giving him a bottle and he would repeatedly turn away. I would have to set it down and walk away, and as soon as I did he would grab it and drink it. He also loves to cuddle. Jaden is usually the first one awake in the morning. I will go get him from his crib, and before I can put him down, or feed him breakfast, we will sit on the couch together and cuddle before starting our day. He often stops what he is doing, like playing with toys, or emptying my bookshelves, and will come give me a hug :) I love my little man!! I am so happy, and blessed to have him in our little family.

The Countdown Has Begun!!

We are soo excited!! Brandon and I, along with Jared and Serena (my brother and his wife), are headed on a cruise in 75 days!! Brandon and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon, and have always dreamt of going on another one. We are driving and going to make a huge trip out of it!! We are leaving April 17th at 3:00 a.m. and heading down to California. We are going to spend a day in Disney Land, and then leave for our cruise monday. This time we are leaving from Long Beach and going to Catalina Island, and Ensanada. Then on our way back we will spend a day in Las Vegas. I am so excited! A couple days ago we booked our shore excursions :) We are going to kayak in Catalina, and go on a resort getaway in Ensanada. Jared served a spanish speaking mission, so it will be nice to have someone translate. It is going to be hard to leave the kids for that long. The longest I have been away from my daughter was when I went to Texas for four days, but she was with my husband. Jaden will be 12 and 1/2 months by then, but it will be the first time I will be away from him. I have been breastfeeding him so the weaning begins...not fun. I am looking forward to spending time with my husband without kids, we need it, as I am sure they do too. They are going to spend a week with Grandma and Grandpa Mecham. They are going to have a BLAST!! Grandma is taking a week off work and they are going to PLAY!! They are going to ride the fourwheeler with Grandpa, and get to ride the horses. Plus Grandma has a HUGE bathtub and both my kids love the water so I am sure they will be taking many of those ;)
I am going to try and not think about how much I am going to miss my kids for that long, and focus on the moments and advents I get to spend with my hubby and best friends. We are going to live it up and I can't wait!
